Hi my name is Georgina, I am Irish and I am looking for a job in Mojacar as I am moving over to my Grandparents next week who currently live in Mojacar. I am learning Spanish and I would like to improve it. I would love to get a job in a bar or restaurant as I have lots of experience. Do you know if there is any jobs in Mojacar at the moment? Thanks, Georgina

Hi Gerogina – we don’t run a job finder service I’m afraid… although people do occasionally send their vacancies to us.
Once you arrive, pop some comfy shoes on and get your face into places – bring them a big smile and a CV… you never know! Also – your grandparents are more likely to find out about stuff with them living there – so maybe they can start asking around their contacts for you.
Good luck with the move and the job hunt.

    Hi Georgina

We currently have a restaurant in Mojacar pueblo El Palacio and are looking for front off house/waiting staff who have knowledge of the job but more importantly personality and people skills.

I’m currently in the uk but my partner is in Spain and would be happy to arrange an interview with you to discuss more

    Thanks

    Nick

Hi Jacqueline. Try giving them a bell on the number in the article. This is an old advert from 2013 but you never know.

Good luck with the move – we’re in Almeria too x

Hello James. You may better finding some local groups and asking in there. If you are on Facebook, there are several Mojacar groups that may be able to help you – just put Mojacar Forum into your search on there. It is unlikely that people would see this article from 2013 if searching for someone of your skills.
Good luck with the move if you go ahead.

Hi I’m am hoping to move to Mojacar in the next 6 months, I am a qualified primary school teacher, qualified nursery nurse and have also worked as a teaching assistant. What are the chances of me gaining employment in the area. I am also willing to do any kind of work as my teaching has giving me transferable skills. Thanks Jane

HI Adam. Congrats on next year’s move.

There’s non way of knowing what jobs will be available then – but I’d advice that you look at areas with a higher expat population, such as Mojacar, Carboneras, Albox. Once you arrive – go from bar to bar and speak to the owners in person. Most recruitment is done face to face… and to people that we already know – so if your face has been getting around, you’ll stand a much better chance.

Hotels will definitely require more Spanish lingo that the British/Irish bars around.

      Good luck!

      E x
