Learn Spanish – Fractions
A very short “Learn Spanish” lesson this week… so no excuses for not memorising these by the end of the day. Enjoy those fractions!
Quarter – cuarto
- Half – medio
- Three quarters – tres cuartos
- A third – un tercio
- Two thirds – dos tercios
Of course there are a lot more fractions… but these are the ones most often used. They will be of especial benefit when you are in a supermarket, or buying something by weight. They are also extremely useful with recipes.
Let us know how you get on, and where you have been using them successfully. Good luck!!
Next week we will be looking at national holidays and festivals in Spain.
See you next Monday if not before!

Don’t forget “entero” = “whole”, and also “mitad” for “half” (particularly if you are saying “half this, half that”.
