Learn Spanish – Days of The Week
Here is a helpful guide to learn the days of the week in Spanish.
Days of the week
- lunes – Monday
- martes -Tuesday
- miércoles – Wednesday
- jueves – Thursday
- viernes – Friday
- sábado – Saturday
- domingo – Sunday
Note that the first letter of the day is not capitalised. The days of the week are always masculine too, so would be preceded by “el”, when forming part of a sentence. For example: Hay una fiesta el sábado (There is a party on Saturday).
Happy learning!

Hi Elle
I have recenly disvcovered your website, and it’s a mine of useful information, especially the learn Spanish pages! Also, the rules and regs for expats are really helpful, and the fun and quirky articles. I am dreaming of coming to live in Spain, hoping to make it a reality, and am researching as much as I can about the process. Which is where your great website comes in!
I plan to initially rent there for about 3 months, in reality, not holiday mode, to see if I can cope ok. Then take it from there. I see there are lots of changes afoot in Spain, legislation wise, but I will be starting afresh, so I will take what comes.
So, many thanks again for the incisive and pertinent details on your site, I can stay on it for hours, I have to ration myself!

Hi Lynne!
It is always nice to hear from people who are enjoying the website and finding it useful… so it was a pleasure to receive your messager today.
You are wise to rent first – then you will be sure you are making the right move, and to the right area of Spain.
The very best of luck with your move – we wish you well!
