    For a sweeter taste, we recommend red onion. That’s a speciality of the north west of Gran Canaria. We can’t get enough of it.

      I love red onion! Nice if it’s slightly sauteed and draped across bread, covered with cheese – and bunged under a grill too. Ñom!

    HI Elle, just what are these ” amazing Canarian ” soft cheeses called then? I must be unlucky, because every soft local cheese I’ve tried here in Lanzarote has only been fit for sticking on the end of a pencil and being used as a rubber!

      There aren’t many. Have you been up to the lady in Femes? She gets them in sometimes. I was once lucky and got some in Ropers… but never saw any in there again

      Most restaurant just use mozzarella – does the job xx

      PS: I like the rubbery cheeses too ;)
