It is an exciting week for one special little girl as Elena is crowned as the Infant Queen in Arona, Tenerife. Four year old Elena Martínez Santana was accompanied by her princesses, Ainara Fernández Fernández, Xiomara de la Rosa García, Loyda García Cabrera, Cloe Trujillo Cruz, Jade Martín Delgado and Valentina Nicolino Alayón.

The ceremony kicked off with a musical performance with ballet in which Wycho Torres y Jacqueline Reverón enthralled the audience with their interpretation of Aladdin and a love story which included various Disney characters.

The evening was chock full of performances with music and dance being the main focus. The highlight of the night was the appearance of Tenerife’s María José y Mario, participants of the television programme “Levántate”.

Elena was chosen by a jury that included image consultant Elsa Alvarez, Francisco Herrera the míster Guía de Isora in 2013, model Claudia Ribero, design decorator Toñi Marcelino, child monitor Melany Valeriano, Raul Bordon the deputy director of CC Siam Mall and finally the deputy head of El Fraile nursery school.

The candidates paraded in designs by Sedomir Rodriguez de la Sierra, while the whole event was hosted by singer and dancer Wycho Torres from the television shows “Levántate” and “Pequeños Gigantes.”

The plaza filled again the following day with the election of the Queen of the Third Age, featuring Ainhoa Aguilar from “La Voz”, the Spanish version of the popular television programme The Voice.

If you are in Tenerife tonight, then get to the plaza in Arona at 9.30pm because it fills again to the sound of dancing feet and singing with performances  from singer David de María, comedy from Aarón Gómez and Kike Pérez, an energetic performance from The Acrobatics Brothers, plus Zamira, singer González and contemporary ballet from the Amae dance academy. The evening will be featuring the crowning of Arona’s new Queen. It promises to be an exciting and entertaining evening, so don’t miss out if you have the opportunity to attend.
