Supporting charities in Spain
You may have noticed recently that we posted an article asking charities working with and benefiting animals in Spain to get in touch. Here’s what that is all about…

The problem
As you may well know, there are a huge number of charities working hard to improve the lot of abandoned and mistreated dogs, cats, and other animals in Spain. Nearly all are underfunded, over-worked, and over-subscribed. Whilst we have for a long time supported one particular organisation personally, we wanted to come up with an idea to help many more.
The solution
As a part of this site, we’ve been developing a low cost option for holiday rental owners in Spain to market their properties. So, we’ve come up with an option that can help us build that area of this website, that can help holiday rental owners gain more exposure at a very low cost, but that can help registered animal charities at the same time.
Instead of spending money on advertising we are donating 50% (€10) of every new sign-up to participating registered charities when their code is quoted. Using Facebook and Twitter, the charities and their supporters share the links and a unique code and receive €10 each time their unique code is quoted on a new holiday rental sign-up.
For example: a holiday rental owner in Lanzarote adds their holiday rental to our listings and quotes the code KKLZ. We set the listing live and whizz €10 over to The Kennel Klub. They will receive €10 for every single new sign-up that quotes KKLZ.
We’d much rather this than spend that very same amount of money on advertising. Pretty simple huh? The owner gets superb value advertising and the charity gets a donation. Everyone’s a winner.
How YOU can help
If you own a holiday rental you can support any of the following, just by using these charity codes when you add your property…
- The Kennel Klub – KKLZ
- Thomas’s Love Saving the dogs of Spain – TLUK
- Lorca Animal Rescue – LARMU
- APSA (Animal Protection Society Albox) – APSAAL
- Perros sin Casa – PSCAL
