The answer is that Tossa de Mar, together with all these cities, has been selected by the international production company Warner Bros to be the scene of a promotional campaign for the new season of the famous Rick & Morty series.
The campaign is already being carried out in Tossa de Mar and will last for ten days. On Instagram alone, the series has close to 6 million followers and the campaign in Tossa already has more than 60,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
What is or who are Rick & Morty?
Rick & Morty is a science-fiction adventure comedy series that deals with philosophical, scientific, technological and psychological issues. The plot is based on the misadventures of a cynical mad scientist, Rick Sanchez, and his irritating and easily influenced nephew, Morty Smith. The series is described as “unconventional and sometimes crude… but the bottom line is that it works”. It has received popular critical acclaim worldwide, with a 97% approval rating from critics and younger audiences.

And all of them will not only visualize Tossa de Mar through social networks, but they will also be invited to discover the location of the “monster” that we have installed in Es Racó through clues and games on their official page”.
Gascons added that “once again, the heritage of Tossa and the beauty of Vila Vella and the position of the town is a setting for international series/film productions. And now, with this one, we will see our town for the first time in an unprecedented science fiction setting, which will surely open the door to new collaborations”.
