Puppy Rescue Albox is on the move
Puppy Rescue Albox is moving from Calle Malaga to Avenida Lepanto on May 25 2015. The popular animal charity is buzzing right now as volunteers rally round to help with odd jobs, sorting out stock, erecting new signage and generally helping Jill Lewis who is going doolallytap with all the work involved.
The new shop is located next to Sol Supermercado on Avenida Lepanto, on the corner opposite Mercadona. May 25 is the grand opening and everyone is welcome to head along and help celebrate the move. There will be a 20% discount on all ladies and gents summer summer clothing.
There is also a raffle – so if you have a prize you could donate for that, please let Jill Lewis know… or purchase a ticket or two. Gifts are already being donated by local businesses including the ingredients Sol Supermercado, Michaela Ann Talbot translation services, Muebles de roble, Oak Furniture Zurgena, Turquesa Albox, Inspire Albox. If you have a prize to donate – you can let Jill know via the Facebook event HERE or by popping into the shop between 10am and 2pm.
Special mention and thanks go to David Simpson and Alan Price who have been working tirelessly to ensure everything is ready at the new shop so Jill can move the stock on Friday and get it looking great in time for Monday’s big day.
Of course Puppy Rescue can only live up to its name if it continues to receive support. If you have good quality items such as clothing, household goods or gifts – please drop them off to the shop. And of course it would be only right to have a browse for something new for yourself while there.
Puppy Rescue is a registered charity located in Albox, Spain. Since its inception in 2005, thousands of puppies and dogs have been rescued, cared for, and packed off to forever homes with loving families. Volunteers foster the pups and dogs and the charity works with other organisations to find forever homes as soon as possible.
The current shop on Calle Malaga opened in 2008 and has been trading successfully in the seven years since. But change was desperately needed, hence the move to larger premises on Avenida Lepanto. Spanish Registered Charity 5087
A reminder then – open day from 10am to 5pm on Monday May 25 2015. Spain Buddy is hoping to be there too… so come and say, “Hello,” if you spot us.
Elle, along with Alan, is the owner of Spain Buddy and the busy web design business – Spain Web Design by Gandy-Draper.
Born a “Norverner”, she then spent most of her life “Dann Saff” before moving to Spain in 2006. Elle’s loves are Alan, the internet, dogs, good food, and dry white wine – although not necessarily in that order.
