The Adeje transport councillor, Andrés Pérez Ramos, has announced the issuing of 15 new taxi licences for the borough.
“We have been working to improve the taxi sector in the borough, a sector important to the destination for visitors and residents. These 15 new licences will meet an identified need in a balanced way within the sector adding quality to what is already an excellent service”, said Pérez Ramos. They are being granted following a socio-economic study of the existing demand and potential growth in the borough.
Those interested in applying for a licence must meet certain requirements and present the documentation outlined in the relevant section in the Adeje council page ayuntamientodeadeje.es. Obviously included in the conditions will be the requirement that the applicant is in possession of a valid clean driving licence and not currently the holder of another taxi licence. The car to be licensed must also meet certain conditions and be registered in Adeje.
