New music school for Albox
There is to be a new music school for Albox in Almeria. The town hall announced today (May 13) that they were keeping the plans under wraps but gossip and false rumours had forced their hand.
The new school of music and conservatory is to be located in the town centre and is an ambitious project spearheaded by the local PSOE mayor of Albox, Rogelio Mena.
The town hall said the new school will be larger than the previous offering, better equipped and is in the final stages of planning, ready for construction.
The architectural drawings and artist’s impressions show a stylish building spread over two floors. The floor area is to be 800 square metres and will include a number of classrooms, rehearsal areas and meeting rooms.
It is to be located on Avenida America, in the area of IES Cardenal Cisneros and Mercadona.

During the last couple of years, Albox has seen a number of improvements and changes to the municipality. Such changes include a new health centre in Llano del Espino, a sports centre in Albox centre with facilities inside and out, water supply changes as well as a number of other improvements to aesthetically improve the town. The opening of the new motorway at Arboleas which will have a direct impact on traffic flow in and out of Albox is also imminent.
