I am considering a move to Spain April 2015, i am yet to choose between Fuengirola or Benalmadena.

I am going to start a beginners course in Spanish before i move, and will hopefully once pick up the language once i am surrounded by it.

Currently i work in Rehabilitation/Health care ideally would like to work in a hospital or tourist medical centre once i have settled. When i first arrive i would like to work within a Spanish run business such as bar/restaurant to help me build my new life with the local people and learn more culture and language.

September this year i am coming out for a holiday to get the feel and my bearing and hopefully find a job/apartment to rent with i do move.

Any advice given will be greatly received and used. so please tell me anything you feel will help my move and help me build a life in spain.
    Thank you

I am currently living in Spain and want to move to Benalmadena. I have only been in spain for about a month.

I am an Tesol language teacher and wondered if there is much call there for teachers??

Not sure there’s much call within Benalmadena because so many speak English. But there may be a need a short drive out?
      Good luck!

Benalmadena is a nice place to live but you should mention the amount of dogs mess that you have to avoid stepping in if you are away from the promenade. It’s simply disgusting.

That’s such a shame. We didn’t see that when we were there – so it sounds like a crackdown on owners is in order!

Hi , I just moved to Benalmadena. Is there an English speaking group in the area ?

Hi Sen. There are so many Brits in Benalmádena, that I would fully expect there to be several groups.
I’d start with a search on Facebook for Benalmádena groups… and ask in there who meets up.
      Good luck!
