When did you move to Spain, and where from?
In 1996 via Yorkshire, Birmingham then Devon, UK
Who came with you?
Hubby and two small sons
Where in Spain do you live now?
Near the olive growing capital . Martos, Jaén
How are you with speaking Spanish?
Most people say I’m fluent, my sons (who are bilingual) say “nooo” – I know I’ve a looong way to go yet.
If you could change one thing about Spain… what would that be?
Dropping below 5ºC in winter and the endless paperwork.
What is the best thing about living in Spain?
Blue sky, sunshine, friendly people, relaxing lifestyle
What is your favourite Spanish dish?
I can’t possibly choose only one! But salmorejo, jamón with baby broad beans (when in season and fresh) and revuelto with anything are some of my favourites.
What is the predominant nationality of your friends in Spain?
Spanish
If you won the Euromilliones – would you still live where you currently are?
Yes, but we’d finish it!
If a movie was made about your life – who would play you?
I wouldn’t.
If you had to describe yourself as a sandwich filling… what would you be?
Soft and mouldably stubborn.

I have a holiday home in Jaen province near my home – Casa El Reguelo and write the websites Andalucia Explorer, Luxury Spain Travel. I also have a growing portfolio of boutique hotels in Spain at Only Spain.
