Elle, you might want to add that Fathers’ Day is always the Feast of Saint Joseph (19th April).
Is the Labour day you mention here 1st May?

Hi love, with regards to Father’s Day I was refering to the fact that is always the same day. Excuse my ignorance, but isn’t Labour (Sorry! Labor) Day mainly used in the States. It’s been an awful long time since I’ve lived in the UK, but I cant remeber ever talking about it. BTW, I left the UK BEFORE the 1st January was made a Bank Holiday. In fact, I got married for the 1st time on New year’s Day, so the Registry Offices were working. Refuse to tell you the year, though.

Ah – I’m with you now – my apologies for any blondeness. I didn’t bother putting dates on them… as some of them do change. We keep a running list here though: https://www.spainbuddy.com/spain-info/spain-public-holidays/
A lot of our website visitors come from the US now, so we try to cover their bases as far as possible… but I’m pretty sure we also had that day off in Lanzarote too. To be hoest, we tend to ignore all public holidays at Spain Buddy Towers unless it’s Crimbo Day, New Year’s Day, or Birthdays. Can’t tear us away from our computers without tears and bloodshed :D
Alan and I considered getting married on New Year’s Day too – as that’s the anniversary of when we got together. Something tells me it wasn’t as long ago as you’re implying your wedding was though ;)
