“I love Lucy!”

This morning I met this lovely lady, and I fell instantly in love. Meet Lucy! Lucy is looking for a forever home.

If we didn’t have a house full already she’d have been coming home with me. I’d love to take her myself, but as well as the over-population issue, throwing a gorgeous girl like this in with our three boys would probably affect they way they rub along quite happily together as things are.

There’s a bit of a sad story behind Lucy. I’d love to tell you but I’ve been asked to respect the privacy of her owner and those people helping her now. It’s no fault of her own she’s looking for a home, and absolutely nothing to worry about – it’s nothing bad, in fact if I were able to tell you, you’d probably be as touched as I am.  She’s about seven or eight years old, perfectly healthy with everything up to date, trained, chilled, friendly with a wonderful temperament, and great with other dogs. One of those lovely dogs it’s almost impossible to find fault with. If I’m being totally honest, I’m quite gutted we aren’t in a position to take her.

She’s happy and looked after wonderfully where she is. She couldn’t be in better hands in terms of a temporary home – but she really needs a proper home. We’re not going into the dog rescue business – there are plenty of fantastic charities around the country helping out dogs like Lucy, this one has just got to me personally and I’d like to help if I can.
