Huércal-Overa summer school 2019 has kicked off with a range of activities for some happy children.
Activities have already begun in the town of Huércal-Overa in Almería with a lot more to come. Don’t worry, however, if your kiddies aren’t involved yet, as registration is still open in the municipal sports pavilion.
Summer School is a Godsend for many parents, concerned about what their children will do while they continue to work during the summer school break.
Yesterday (Monday June 24 2019) saw the first smiles on kiddies’ faces as they participated in various activities organised by the town council and El Castillo sports club.
Activities are aimed at children between the ages of three and 12 and include such goodies as sports, swimming pool time, water games, languages, reading, school reviews, artistic expression and music. The Summer School takes place in the facilities of the Municipal Sports Pavilion and in the municipal swimming pool.
Councillors Mónica Ruiz and Alejandro Campos spent part of yesterday with the children who were enjoying a dip after the first activities of the morning and their respective breakfasts. All activities are monitored by qualified professionals.
The reception by the parents has been very positive so far and a significant number of children are already enjoying the Summer School, with more joining next week.
Prices range from €50 per week, to €230 for the full ten weeks for the first child. Discounts of up to 80 per cent for siblings, depending on the length of time signed up.
As for the kiddies – well their smiles say it all. This looks set to be another successful summer school for the children of Huércal-Overa.
