Gladrags leads the way
Once again Gladrags leads the way, showing what can be achieved with drive and cooperation. Sunday October 9 saw the Autumn / Winter Fashion Show followed by the range launch on Tuesday October 11.
The Gladrags Fashion Show
The Gladrags Fashion Show is always popular, and the latest was no exceptioon with all tickets selling out quickly.
Maloans Bar in Albox was the venue for the latest show, and it was soon buzzing with excited voices and big smiles as the audience waited to see the latest additions to the Gladrags range. Jenni Rock compered in a shocking pink wig, while her 11 models displayed the latest designs with their usual flair and enthusiasm. The models’ ages ranged from 30 to 75, proving once again that the Gladrgas clothing is suitable for ladies of all ages.
But the day wasn’t just about showcasing the clothing – it was also to raise money for Walk 4 Life Arboleas. €930 was raised in ticket sales, plus a further €460 from the raffle that was sponsored by Almería Homes (final amount to be confirmed.
Jenni would like to thank her 11 models (Sue, Carole, Carol, Nicki, Jill, Ella, Mags, Hannah, Jacqui, Jean and Claire), for providing their time free of charge for the event.
Jenni would also like to thank Andy and the team at Maloans Bar for providing the venue free of charge and making everyone feel welcome and supported.Maloans Bar is located almost directly opposite the petrol station at the entrance to town.
Amanda and Steve from Storage Solutions transported all the outfits and equipment free of charge, in a very professional manner. Jenni added, “They were absolutely brilliant.”
Speaking to Spain Buddy today, Steve Holgate from Storage Solutions said, “We were very happy to get ionvolved. We always do our best to help the local community and support local charities.”
You can find Storage Solutions on the right as you head along the dual carriageway to Arboleas from Albox.
