The Gala Hispanidad Huércal-Overa held its VI edition this week – a spectacular show of music, dance and culture

The event, held at the town’s Theatre, was welcomed with great enthusiasm by residents who did not want to miss this occasion. For many it was their first outing to a cultural events after the Covid restrictions. Different groups performed dances and songs from various Hispanic countries on the stage.

The Mayor of Huércal-Overa, Domingo Fernández, the Councilor for Social Welfare, María José Viudez, and the Head of the Treasury, Adrián Ramos, gave the participants a souvenir of the day, symbolized in El Castillo de Huércal-Overa.

Fernández explained that “this year we can return to this event in which we commemorate a date that we consider should not be overlooked in our municipality where so many Latin people live together. This strengthens ties between our cultures, which we are representing today through dance and music. This is a sample of the culture of everyone who forms part of our municipality; it is already part of the History of Huércal-Overa “.

The Gala Hispanidad Huércal-Overa was given by the Taller de Casatañuelas del Centro de Participación Activa, Grupo Folklórico Corazón Latino, Sandra y Luis, Riá Pitá e Hispanoamerica Baila.
