Free beach cinema at Tossa de Mar
From this summer, there will be a free beach cinema at Tossa de Mar. It will run from June 27 to August 1 2019 and starts at 9pm each screening night.

Free beach cinema is already in its 8th year, being already established across the beaches of Barcelona, Badalona, El Prat de Llobregat and Mataró. This year, Palamós and Tossa de Mar are joining too.
As with previous years, the project is committed to programming quality independent films that have been awarded, or have achieved outstanding reviews, although they have not enjoyed an extensive commercial circuit.
The films available:
- Sunday July 7 – “Bienvenida a Montparnasse” directed by Léonor Serraille (97 minutes)
- Sunday July 21 – “Kubo y las dos cuerdas magicas” directed by Travis Knight (101 minutes)
“Bienvenida a Montparnasse (Welcome to Montparnasse)” is a comedy about Paula, a young woman who seeks her place in the world after a broken heart. Ruined, without work and without friends, she sets off to Paris where she tries to rebuild her life.
“Kubo y las dos cuerdas magicas (Kubo and the two magic strings)” a movie for those who enjoy animation and is set in Japan. Kubo (a young boy) accidentally summons a spirit from the past and is then forced to confront gods and monsters. To be able to fight he has to find a magic armor that once was owned by a legendary samurai.
In addition, before the screening of each movie, a short film selected by “FILMETS Badalona Film Festival” will be broadcast. These shorts feature all kinds of genres: stop motion, comedy, drama, animation and fiction … and most have also been shown at important film festivals in other countries.
