F.A.C.E. Christmas Market 2018
We are proud to announce the F.A.C.E. Christmas Market 2018 – its location, date and time as well as lots of news regarding its features.
A scene from F.A.C.E. Christmas Market 2017The F.A.C.E. (Fundraising in Arboleas, Caring for Everyone) Christmas Market 2018 will this year be held on the evening of Friday November 30 2018. Due to the success of previous years, the market will be held for the fifth time at the Arboleas Feria ground in front of the Arboleas Ayuntamiento and will be inside an enormous, specially erected marquee. The market will be opened to the general public at 6pm.
There will be a vast variety of stalls with wares including perfume, jewellery, kitchenware and electrical appliances, in addition to the usual traditional Christmas cards and wrapping paper and those last minute Christmas gifts that need to be sent to the United Kingdom.
Father Christmas has been contacted, and even though it is his busiest time of year, he has agreed to making a visit to the F.A.C.E. Market.
On the night it is hoped that a member of the Arboleas Council will be available to conduct an official opening. Members of the 89.8 Smooth Fm Radio Station will be present to ensure the night goes with a swing. Entertainment will be provided by the “Sue Moretta Choir” singing seasonal music, “Carrie’s Dusty Boots” will be performing their very latest theatrical Line Dance demonstration and finally Benjamin Bamford will be joining in the fun by bringing his group “The Two Of Us” to the party.
In addition a draw will take place for the €200 first prize in the F.A.C.E. Grand Christmas Raffle. These raffle tickets are already on sale at the price of €1 each or 5 tickets for €4 and will continue to be sold until only minutes before the draw takes place. Amongst other places they can be purchased is at the Los llanos Market on a Saturday morning. The Draw for the F.A.C.E. Christmas Quiz will also take place and there is a super hamper to be won.
Refreshments will be available throughout the evening, including Mince Pies and Sausage Rolls and F.A.C.E.’s famous Mulled Wine, which is made to a special recipe will also be available, although this year it is to be made by Committee Member Nicki Wakeman, as unfortunately Pauline Marshall, who has made the Mulled Wine for the last 10 years has left F.A.C.E. due to the fact she has returned to the United Kingdom to live.
Throughout the evening F.A.C.E. will be giving Christmas presents in the form of donations to various groups of both National and Local Organisations.
All monies raised by this event will be used to make further donations to associations and charities in future months.
