It’s been a very busy time recently for the Dames in Spain with a super trip to Marbella, followed by the Christmas Carol Concert in Mojacar.
The Dames in Spain have had a very busy November ending with a happy and successful five day trip to Marbella.
Staying at the El Fuerte Hotel taking trips out daily. They visited La Conception Gardens in Malaga, then up to
Ronda then taking the train down to Algeciras, continuing on to Gibraltar. A full and enjoyable time was had
by all. As a bonus, on the return journey visiting the Zerimar Leather factory in Campollis, after the viewing
they were all let loose in to the factory shop!!!
The Christmas Carol concert
December 1 was our annual Carol concert held in the Multi culture Centre in Mojácar. What a lovely start
for the festive season. We had the Dames choir who did a wonderful job and got the whole audience singing.
The Mojácar Mayoress Rosa Marie Cano joined us too. There were many stalls with Christmas gift ideas and
our Grand raffle with the 3 nights stay and a night out at the Benidorm Palace was won by Rosy Wildsmith.
Everyone had a glass of wine and a mince pie afterwards. It was a fun morning and we raised a considerable amount
for our charities too.
14th December our last event of the year is our Christmas Luncheon on at the Pueblo Laguna
Starting the New Year on January 18th is our Dames in Spain 30th Anniversary celebrations. We will
have a special luncheon with some interesting photos and films to watch of our history. This is to be be held at
the Parador Hotel. We would welcome all of our Dames from the past to the present. Looking forward to
seeing you all there.
We would like to wish all our members and everyone a very Happy and Healthy Christmas and look forward to
seeing you all in the new year.
