Costa Brava South Carnival 2023
Costa Brava South Carnival is back! The next one will take place from February 17th to March 4th 2023. This event usually attracts more than 120000 people in Blanes, Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar.
The town councils of Blanes, Lloret and Tossa de Mar have already popped a date on the calendar for the celebration of the South Costa Brava Carnival, an extremely popular event on the Costa Brava.
The town councils have already been in touch with the groups that participated in the last carniva (2020) so that they have plenty of time to start planning and constructing their floats.
The Carnival of the South Costa Brava pledges to return stronger than ever. 2021 and 2022 were obviously limited due to Covid controls at the time which forbade the gatherings of large groups for a while. Bearing in mind that the spectators exceed 120,000 and participants exceed 1,000… therefore the carnival is one type of event that couldn’t go ahead at the time.
Costa Brava South Carnival Dates
The Costa Brava South Carnival will begin in Lloret on Saturday, February 18 at 4pm. It will continue on Sunday, February 19, first in Lloret at 4pm, then at 5pm in Blanes; and in Tossa de Mar it will take place on Saturday 4th March at 4:30pm, closing the main street in the three towns.
In additional to the carnival routes, the Town Halls offer a complete program with different carnival activities throughout, which will be publicised on this site as soon as the information is available.
The Costa Brava South Carnival was created in 2012 to jointly promote jointly the festive cycle in the three fishing towns, and coordinate one of the its central and most crowded attractions: the carnival street parades.
Since then, the Costa Brava South Carnival has become known as an event not to be missed. It is also a much needed boost for the bars, restaurant and accommodation providers located there.
