AUAN VP stands for election in Partaloa
The Vice-President of the AUAN is standing in Municipal Elections for the Partido Andalucista(PA) party in Partaloa.

The PA party in the Almeria municipality of Partaloa have named four Britons in their list for election on 24th May. This comes as part of their desire for an open honest and more approachable Council and
Number two candidate on the list is Sandy Tyrrell, the Vice-President of Abusos Urbanisticos Almanzora NO (AUAN), the homeowners association. Sandy appears on the list as an Independent candidate.
The party has expressed their wish that Sandy, and her fellow English speaking candidates, James Tough, Kerrie Weir and April Benson, should champion the issues and needs of the foreign residents in the municipality providing a direct method of contact between English speaking residents and the the Town Hall.
A member of AUAN for the last five years and currently its vice president Sandy played an active role in bringing about the recent change to the Criminal Code which promises prior compensation to purchasers in good faith in case of demolition. The Partido Andalucista supported the initiative throughout and are themselves committed to assisting homeowners.
Sandy and her husband have owned property in Spain for many years, have lived in Partaloa for the last eight years, and have been an active part of the community during that time. They are both committed to the well-being of the Town and its residents.
Sandy has extensive legal experience in the UK serving more than 20 years in private practice and, in addition, she assisted her husband in the running of two large local Councils. It is hoped that this wealth of experience can assist the foreign residents of the Town in understanding the running of the Council.
The announcement that Sandy will stand in the election follows the previous confirmation that the President of the AUAN Maura Hillen will stand as an Independent on the PSOE list for Albox Council.
