Congratulations to Li Na Ngan, the winner of the Spain Buddy 2016 travel photography competition with this image of the Northern Lights taken in Fairbanks, Alaska. The image, along with seventeen other finalists selected by the judges, gained the most public votes on our Facebook page.

Li Na describes herself as a part time travel and landscape photographer who works for a technology company who has the opportunity to travel all over the world. In this year alone she has visited the US, Norway, Denmark, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China and Mauritius. Future plans for this year already include Arizona and Siberia.
When we asked Li Na how she was going to use her prize money she told us that some of it will be being donated to an educational charity that works with children who can not afford an education and that the remainder will be used towards the cost of her future travels.
Finally, on behalf of myself and the other judges, we’d like to thank the other finalists and everyone who took the time to enter the competition this year. To say the standard was incredibly high would be an understatement. We really enjoyed looking at the hundreds of incredible images we received!
