Monday October 5 saw the much anticipated launch of Gladrags Autumn/Winter Collection 2015. Regular readers of Spain Buddy will know that I usually head along to support Jenni Rock at Gladrags in Albox, Almería, and whip a glass of bubbly and a cupcake or two. Unfortunately I had to miss this one due to car trouble but Jenni has kindly whizzed us over some information and photos.
For those than had been waiting patiently for the Gladrags doors to open at 10am they were certainly not disappointed with what they saw.
Gladrags was a vision of rich and sumptuous colours, all arranged to make it a feast for the eyes. A larger than normal collection of lightweight knitwear in every style imaginable was elegantly displayed to show its versatility with your existing wardrobe staples.
Heavier knitwear including capes, coats & ponchos were also on show for when those days and evenings get a little chillier, which as we know won’t be far away.
Customers were in their element, enjoying a nice cold glass of Cava while debating which styles they were going to buy first. The most popular comment to be overheard was that they were spoiled for choice, which is no surprise because collections were available from the quirky designers Maloka & Eva Tralala, as well as the ever popular classic designs of Casa Mia & the UK High Street. Gladrags was also introducing new Paris designer Caty Lesca.
Models Nicki, Mags, Carole & Carolyn were on hand throughout the day to showcase the new collections and offer help and advice to the ladies as they browsed, which was very much appreciated.
With knitwear, tunics, dresses, skirts & trousers available, Gladrags is right with its mantra that you will find something to suit every age, style, size & budget.
Don’t forget that Christmas is just around the corner (sorry!!), and apart from finding that perfect party outfit, Gladrags also has a great range of accessories that will make great gifts and put a smile on that special person’s face on Christmas morning.
Jenni at Gladrags would like to say a special thank you to Michael Holliday for the photographs taken on the day and to the models/helpers Nicki, Carolyn, Mags & Carole.
One thing’s for sure – I will be back down there soon for a look at all the new goodies on offer. As a fan of Gladrags fashions myself, I know I won’t come away empty handed and will be adding to my own rapidly expanding Gladrags collection of dresses, tops and jewellery.
