Almería news | Fernandez re-elected as Mancomunidad head
This week has seen Domingo Fernández re-elected as Mancomunidad head. Fernandez is the current mayor of Huércal Overa in Almería. The Mancomunidad covers the Levante area of Almería.

Fernandez thanked everyone who attended the plenary session on Monday August 3.
He went on to stress that the work shall continue to promote the Mancomunidad as a united group of municipalities, which can only be good for the residents of the area.
Domingo Fernandez will represent the 14 municipalities that make up the Mancomunidad in Almería.
The next event, planned for September, will see the vice president appointed.
The 14 municipalities are: Antas, Bédar, Carboneras, Cuevas del Almanzora, , Garrucha, Huércal Overa, Los Gallardos, Lúbrin, Mojácar, Pulpi, Sorbas, Taberno, Turre and Vera.
The Mancomunidad works to promote the area and support commerce, tourism, utilities, agriculture, planning, beaches, conservation and many other industries as well as the towns that make up the organisation.
