What’s not to love about Barcelona? Stroll around the picturesque streets, take in the stunning architecture and find a cute tapas bar where you can sit and watch the world pass you by as you eat and drink your fill. Reasonably priced flights are available from most major airports, leaving you with more money in your pockets to spoil that special someone in your life. This hotel is particularly special and gets rave reviews. Definitely one to add to the list for a future visit.

Vincci Centrum | Madrid
To say that we at Spain Buddy love Vincci hotels is an understatement, and we usually search to see if a Vincci exists in the town or city we are visiting before we look at other hotels. Do check their in-hotel restaurants – they are usually superb… beautiful food at an extremely high standard.

Jardi de Ses Bruixes Boutique | Mahón
Ah – beautiful Mahón! One of Menorca’s prettiest spots, there is plenty for you to see and do while you are away with your loved one. Head to the natural harbour and grab a boat trip. Don’t forget the bubbly and a couple of glasses!

Princesa Yaiza | Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
Having lived in Playa Blanca for many years, we know the area and this hotel extremely well. Situated on the seafront, right by the lovely Playa Dorada – you will find yourself in a great location for strolls, great food and stunning views. We recommend booking a meal at Sebastyans Restaurant at La Mulata (about a fiver in a taxi) followed by drinks at Bar Marea downstairs. The mojitos are fabulous! For tapas, we recommend La Taberna, which is located in the upmarket Marina Rubicon. Try their deep-fried baby octopus with a squirt of lemon – delicious!

Alhambra Palace | Granada City
Spain Buddy Elle’s favourite city in Spain – Granada has so much to offer. Just a short walk downhill from this hotel is a lovely square bedecked by eateries and a great place to grab some tapas in the sunshine. You are also only a 10 minute walk (uphill) from the beautiful Alhambra Palace itself.

Eurostars Torre Sevilla | Sevilla
What’s not to love about Sevilla eh? The home of Flamenco, this historic city is teeming with atmosphere and gorgeous architecture. Oh and of course there are the horse shows which are world-.famous and must be seen! This is one of the most romantic hotels in Spain and is booked up well in advance – get in quick!

Hospes Amerigo | Alicante
This hotel is extremely popular – so if you want it… you’ better book fast! Alicante is a breathtaking city, with museums, promenades and so much to see and do. Spain Buddy’s Elle is headed there towards the end of the year and to say she’s excited is an understatement!
