Things to do in Ibiza – summer 2016
Summer is here and what better way to enjoy it than to head to the Balearic Islands. This article examines some of the many things to do in Ibiza.
Ibiza has stunning beaches and a bouncing nightlife, but this stunning island has so much more to offer for those that like to explore while holidaying in Ibiza.
This beautiful natural wonder is considered magical by the local fishermen, and certainly you can measure a magnetic field in the area. Whether you are moored off the edge, or looking at it from a restaurant on the coast – Es Vedra is a photographer’s paradise. Grab a boat from San Pedro.
Head to Ibiza Town and get to this monument. It’s quite a walk, but well worth a visit if only for the views. Go early so you’re not hiking uphill in the hot sun, and then take a more leisurely stroll coming down with the obligatory stops for chilled drinks and tapas.
Ibiza’s crystal clear waters just have to be explored and what better way than by getting out on it. Whether you stay dry, or jump off for a quick snorkel, the many boat trips available offer an outstanding view of the island’s coves and breathtaking vistas. There are not many things that can beat being sat on the back of a yacht with your tootsies in the water while sipping a glass of something cheeky.
Ibiza Horse Valley
Monique and David are among the most welcoming hosts in Spain and are clearly passionate about horses. Do book ahead of time if you can, and enjoy some time with these majestic horses.
Many of the rescued inhabitants had horrific former lives, but here they can enjoy a much happier life thanks to their loving owners. Trekking available.

The Hippy Market in Santa Eulalia del Río is rated as number one in places to shop according to Tripadvisor and it’s easy to see why. This is THE place to visit to grab some trinkets for yourself or gifts for loved ones back home.
Don’t be shy about haggling either – it’s all part of the game.
Walking in Ibiza
This stunning Balearic island is just begging to be explored, but it’s even better when you have knowledgeable and experienced guides that can help you find the hidden gems on the island. Spain Buddy recommends Ibiza Walking Association who can not only arrange the perfect walks for you, but also raise a great deal of money for charity.
Of course, whatever you do on your Ibiza holidays – you won’t be disappointed. This gem of the Med has something for everyone, whether you are seeking a romantic break, a family holiday or exploring as a sole traveller. Enjoy!
