Spain Buddy Blog of The Month – March 2014
Today sees the award for the Spain Buddy Blog of The month for March 2014, and the winner is Matthew Hirtes. Not only a regular guest writer for Spain Buddy, Matthew also writes for a number of travel publications, as well as being a published author. This award though, goes to his geographically based Gran Canaria Local.
Matthew has lived in Gran Canaria for many years and is a font of all knowledge for the sunny Canary Island. What we really enjoy about his blog is that he not only features the more touristic areas… but also pays attention to areas that we, as readers and travelers, may not otherwise discover.
Matthew lives with his Canarian wife, and their children… and is also he author of “Going Local in Gran Canaria”, a book that we really enjoyed and found not only entertaining but very educational also. It’s a book that anyone considering a move, or even a visit, to Gran Canaria should buy.
Congratulations Matthew… we look forward to continuing as regular readers of your informative and entertaining blog.
