Art, theatre, sport and nature: a weekend in Adeje
This weekend in Adeje, Tenerife, there are a number of things to do. Art, theatre, sport and enjoying the outdoors – there is something for everyone.
On Friday an exhibition of painting by Russian artist Lev Budin will open in the Adeje Cultural Centre at 8pm, and at 8.30 in the theatre La Nona will be staged by the ‘Comedia Municipal del Trienta y Tres’. Tickets for the theatre are on sale now in the Cultural Centre.
On Friday and Saturday, Tijoco Bajo is hosting the X Memorial Máximo Moreno Baseball Cup, junior cycle, with the Halcones from Adeje, Aguilucho from Granadilla, Semillitas from S/C de Tenerife and Escuderos from Agüimes in Gran Canaria.
Saturday is also the day for the solidarity football tournament in the Fañabe pavilion, where each participating player will donate a kilo of non-perishable goods as his/her entry fee into the tournament. More information and registration on www.adeje.es.
It’s almond blossom time, and on Sunday February 5th a group from Adeje will be taking part in a walk through the Santiago del Teide countryside as part of the ‘Ponte las Botas (put on your walking shoes) 2017. Adeje’s seniors are also on the move with a trip to Puerto de la Cruz during which they will be visiting the town’s emblematic buildings and learning about the region’s history and gastronomy.
